Kirstie Alley will be starring in a new reality "docu-series" for A&E which will be about her life as a single mom and her efforts to lose weight.
The network has ordered 10 episodes of a half hour each. The series is untilted as yet and comes from "American Idol" producer FremantleMedia North America.
Show will follow the actress at her home with her teen kids, as well as at work and as she launches a new weight-loss program.
Alley, now 58 years old, p;ayed a version of herself in 2005's "Fat Actress" on Showtime. She also starred in the sitcoms "Veronica's Closet" and "Cheers."
