Anne Heche has signed on to two projects. The first being the female lead in Fox Searchlight's "Cedar Rapids" opposite Ed Helms of "The Hangover" fame.

She will also have a role in the Will Ferrell-Mark Wahlberg starrer "The Other Guys" which Columbia Pictures is distributing.

"Cedar Rapids" tells of a sad-sack insurance agent (played by Helms) who goes to an industry convention in order to save the jobs of his colleagues. Heche comes in as a woman who befriends him.

Alexander Payne is produces the comedy annd directing is Miguel Arteta from the screenplay by Phil Johnston, who developed it with Helms.

Heche will play a businesswoman who hires cops played by Ferrell and Wahlberg in "The Other Guys." The actress was last seen in the limited Anchor Bay release "Spread" with Ashton Kutcher and is a regular on HBO's "Hung."
