Comedy Central and the Onion are to team for a half-hour scripted comedy pilot which is based on the Onion Sports Network website.
Apparently, the series is designed to appeal to both casual and hardcore fans of sports as well as the Onion's well-defined style of humor.
"SEC Replay Official Overturns Roe v. Wade" and "Mark McGwire to Teach Cardinal Hitters at What Point in Swing to Evade Congressional Questioning" are some of the recent headlines that appeared on the Onion Sports Network website.
