Dennis Hopper has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He has apparently canceled all travel plans to focus on treatment.
The 73-year-old actor is being treated through a special program at the University of Southern California.
My father and my father in-law had prostate cancer. My father went with the option of removing the prostate and suffered from incontinence due to the surgeon's overcutting, damaging the surrounding nerve tissue. He beat the incontinence issue too, what a man.
The other option, which my father-in-law chose, is radioactive seed implants which has a good success rate as well. He has also fully recovered. When a person of an older age has prostate cancer at its early stage, apparently and I agree, you're more likely to die of old age and this can be monitored should one with to live with it. I wish you luck Mr. Hopper, whatever treatment you're undergoing.
