Billy Crudup will "Eat, Pray, Love" with Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins. The star has joined the Ryan Murphy-helmed film adapted from the Elizabeth Gilbert bestselling memoir. Jennifer Salt wrote the adaptation alongside Murphy.
The story follows a married woman who goes on a journey of self-discovery after attempting to fall pregnant and realizing that she's not in fact living the life she dreams of.
Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing via Plan B and shooting starts next week some time. Crudup was last seen in the Michael Mann-directed "Public Enemies" with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Prior to that, he starred as Doctor Manhattan in Zack Snyder's "Watchmen" interpretation.
