Hot off making her critically acclaimed acting debut Lionsgate's "Precious," star Gabourey Sidibe is in talks to join Showtime's comedy pilot "The C Word."
John Benjamin Hickey and Phyllis Somerville are in as regulars opposite Laura Linney in the pilot which comes from Sony TV and Original TV.
Linny plays Cathy, a suburban mother, wife and a teacher who is diagnosed with cancer but finds a lighter side of her dark situation.
Sidibe would play a student in Cathy's summer-school class and the role could be recurring.
