What happens if you have a more pronounced ability to pick up psychic cues - to hear thoughts, move objects, suggest ideas to strangers? You start working for the Division and they teach you how to hone those powers to where you almost seem like a real life superhero. But then what happens if you want to leave the Division? The answer: it's going to be complicated.

NICK (Dakota Fanning), a young American expat with the ability to move things with his mind is hiding out in Hong Kong to avoid being placed under the control of the DIVISION, the American supernatural intelligence agency. He’s a loner who wants nothing to do with the government or the resistance movement trying to bring the Division down, until the day a young clairvoyant girl, CASSIE (Dakota Fanning), turns up on his doorstep, claiming to have had a vision of their future. Cassie sees that Nick is going to save her life … but if he doesn’t help her, they’ll both wind up dead. Nick agrees to follow along with her plan – trying to elude the evil CARVER (Djimon Hounsou) – until the plan leads him to KIRA, his long lost lover (Camilla Belle).

Paul McGuigan, known for his unique style behind the wheel of "Lucky Number Slevin" and "Gangster Number One," directs Summit Entertainment's Push, a sci-fi thriller which looks guaranteed to please. The multi-talented cast includes Dakota Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou..

After speaking to Camilla Belle, the talented Dakota Fanning joined in for her round of the questions and looked rather fresh considering being stuck in traffic for seven hours due to an accident.

Ms. Fanning needs no introduction, there are few actresses known as widely. She has worked with the biggest names in Hollywood including Steven Spielberg, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro and Kurt Russell...to name a few.

Question:

Can you tell us about the character you play in the film?

Dakota Fanning:

"Sure. I play Cassie and Cassie is what they call 'a watcher' and that means that she can see the future but in comes in like flashes and seconds or minutes and whatever decisions anybody makes can change the future. So she's always trying to kind of beat her power in a way and try and get to that future first before it changes.

It was really so much fun to play a true character and I felt that's what Cassie was and you know, it was so fun to be part of like the costume and everything."

Question:

What's your costume?

Dakota Fanning:

"It's not like a costume, like a suit or anything. She's kind of a little punky I would say, kind of sarcastic. I've got like colors in my hair, it wasn't like real but It was fun to be so different to my true self."

Question:

How is she different?

Dakota Fanning:

"She's very sarcastic and very dry and she's always like that; that's just who she is. She's kind of having to deal with being a fourteen-year-old and also having this power and kind of trying to find the balance between that and also trying to save her mom and her mom's in danger and she's by herself in Hong Kong. You know, I think it's all just very tough for her and she's trying to like keep a strong face on."

Question:

Were you familiar with Paul McGuigan's work before this?

Dakota Fanning:

"Yeah I was familiar and he definitely is very visual and I think that's what also drew me, was his talent. I think that's what also made Hong Kong a great place to film because there's so many colors and the buildings are just like blocks stacked on top of each other and they just go for hundreds of floors.

It just added another dimension to the film I feel and I think Paul really attacked that and approached that and wanted to enhance that on screen and I think he definitely did."

Question:

How did Hong Kong affect you and your character?

Dakota Fanning:

"Yeah, it definitely was very different but I think it only added to Cassie because Cassie was also in a foreign land she'd never been to before and was very unfamiliar so I think that her feelings and my feelings in Hong Kong, were very similar. I had so much fun, we all had a really good time in Hong Kong.

There's so much to do...on like the weekends and the off time we would always just be doing something, going somewhere and I think that was really great."

Question:

What's next for you?

Dakota Fanning:

"I have 'The Secret Life of Bees' coming out October 17th so that's next, yeah...pretty soon actually."
